walking downtown with michael, we enter a market. it suddenly starts to flood. we stay put on top of the sidewalk within the market, sandwiched between a jewelry repair store and an ice cream shop. i see an outside view of the flooded streets. a young version of my dad dressed in a mexican folk costume is running from the rain with a young woman. not my mother.
